2000 and 500 Rupee Note Salient Features:
- Dimension of the note is : 66 mm × 166 mm for 2000/- Note and 63mm x 150mm for 500/- Note
- Its called -Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series
- Without the inset letter / R as inset.
- Bearing signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India,
- The year of printing '2016' printed on the reverse of the banknote.
- The new denomination has Motif of Mangalayan on the reverse, depicting the country’s first venture into the interplanetary space.
- The base colour of the note is magenta for 2000/- note and Stone Gray for 500/-
FRONT SIDE FEATURES:
- See through register with denominational numeral 2000 / 500
- Latent image with denominational numeral 2000 / 500
- Denominational numeral २००० or ५00 in Devnagari
- Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre
